Parade to mark the Freedom of the City of Newcastle-upon-Tyne   Parade to mark the Freedom of the City of Newcastle-upon-Tyne

10 May 1986: HRH Princess Margaret (Colonel-in-Chief of the Regiment), the Lord Mayor of Newcastle, the Colonel of the Regiment and various other dignitaries take the salute as Lieutenant-Colonel DS Balmain, the Commanding Officer, leads the parade of 15th/19th The King's Royal Hussars.

Behind the CO is the Guidon party of the Regiment in Ferret scout cars, followed by the CO and Guidon party of The Northumberland Hussars, and the marching contingent.

At the front is the mounted contingent, consisting of an officer (Paddy Darling, with a long red plume) and two farriers in the uniform of the 15th/19th Hussars, and an officer (Charlie Sample) in the uniform of the Northumberland Hussars.
